Golden Ocean- Reflection
Figurative Paintings
About the artwork:
In my ocean-themed art, I aim to highlight our profound connection with water, inspiring viewers to experience both serenity and strength while fostering a deeper bond with our planet. In a fast-paced world, it’s crucial to pause and reflect. Beneath the surface, the world transforms, revealing mesmerizing patterns that cultivate an appreciation for life’s inherent value. The unseen breath in the real world creates stunning underwater patterns. The body, free from gravity, surrenders to the flow of water. It’s a metaphor for letting go, appreciating the beauty of the world, and simply breathing.
About the artwork:
The concept behind this painting depicts myself diving in the Mediterranean Sea. This self-portrait reflects my profound passion for water and painting. As an ocean-themed figurative painter, I center my artwork around marine themes and wildlife. The ocean holds a sacred place in my heart, and I aim to raise awareness for the preservation of the ocean world. Diving into the ocean immerses you in the present moment, focusing on breath and water. The breath forms beautiful patterns, manifested in abstract bubbles—something often overlooked in daily life but made special underwater. This self-portrait is an expression of my love for the ocean and my chosen painting subject. Additionally, I enhanced the sun rays with 24ct gold leaf to create a captivating sparkle, bringing the ocean water to life.
About the artwork
This painting will be stored on the Moon as part of the Lunar Codex, an archive of contemporary art, books, music, poetry, and film launched by NASA's Artemis partners. It’s featured in the catalog of the Stillness exhibition hosted by @33contemporary and @poetsartists. The painting is inspired by the Mediterranean Sea surrounding Ibiza, Spain, and I loved creating it in grey and white tones with a hint of brown. To enhance the sparkle of the light, I used 24ct gold leaf. Titled Tranquility, the painting aims to capture the beauty of the ocean and immerse the viewer in the serenity of nature and the water element.
About the artwork:
This artwork captures the beauty of the evening hours. The moon’s radiance meets the gentle embrace of the ocean, inviting contemplation. Adorned with 24-carat gold leaf and silver stars, the painting draws inspiration from ancient texts and symbolizes our profound connection to nature.
About the artwork:
This underwater painting, titled Golden Ocean Reflection Dance, is a self-portrait capturing the graceful movement of the body in the fluidity of the ocean. Underwater, the water guides the movement, making every moment crucial. The breath, often overlooked in real life, creates a beautiful, magical pattern here, which fascinates me. To enhance the sun's sparkle, I added 24 ct gold leaf. This painting combines my love for the ocean and my passion for dancing. It also serves as a reminder that we are part of this beautiful planet and that we should cherish and protect it.
This painting has been selected as a semi-finalist in the 17th ARC Salon/ USA and will be part of the Polaris archive in the Lunar Codex, set to launch to the moon in September 2025. This exciting event is part of NASA’s CLPS-TO-20A mission.
About the artwork
This underwater painting, titled "Golden Ocean Reflection - DanceII," captures the fluidity of the ocean and the grace of the human body in motion. The work also reflects my deep love for both the ocean and ballet. It was a challenge to combine these two ideas, and I relied on numerous underwater references to guide my process, as capturing a good pose underwater is quite difficult. The way the underwater current interacts with the body's movement is entirely different from how it behaves on land. The act of breathing, often unnoticed in daily life, becomes almost magical underwater. I used 24ct gold leaf to enhance the water reflections and bubbles, highlighting the sparkling movements within the water. I am deeply inspired by the myriad colors and textures created by the water, revealing a world of miracles beneath the surface.

About the artwork:
The concept behind this ocean-themed painting is to symbolize a confident ascent from the depths of life's challenges into new cycles of existence. It also aims to celebrate the ocean in all its wonders while emphasizing the importance of its preservation. The golden reflections in the artwork represent the sensation of breaking through the ocean's surface and basking in the shimmering sunlight, which creates intricate, ever-changing patterns. Life, much like water, is in a constant state of flux.
About the artwork:
This artwork illustrates our profound connection to water and serves as a metaphor for trust. Amid the hustle and bustle of life, it’s vital to pause, calm down, and surrender to the natural flow of life, trusting the process—especially as an artist, where the depths of uncertainty are often hidden beneath the surface. The sun's reflection on the water, rendered with 24-carat gold leaf, enhances the interplay between water and sunlight, creating a luminous effect on the painting. This light symbolizes the presence of hope and guidance, even when it’s not immediately visible. The piece also serves as a reminder to continually connect with nature and water, recognizing the abundance and everyday miracles that surround us.
About the artwork
This artwork is from my Water Reflection series in 2021. It explores the interaction between fashion and the natural element of water, highlighting the interplay between the man-made world and nature. I use orchids as a metaphor, balancing on the water’s surface and interacting with both the water and the dress. This piece marked the beginning of my water-themed exploration.
